Senior GST Analyst

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant/ Company Secretary with strong experience in GST compliance, advisory, and tax processes. The candidate will be part of the Tax & Finance function and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end indirect tax compliance and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Indirect Tax Compliance

- Manage end-to-end GST compliance, including preparation and filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, 9C
- Ensure timely tax computation, payments, and return filing
- Perform monthly GST reconciliations (Books vs 2A/2B vs 3B)
- Coordinate with internal teams for data accuracy

Audit, Assessment & Litigation

- Handle GST audits, assessments, and notices (SCN)
- Prepare documentation and responses for tax authorities
- Coordinate with consultants and legal advisors

Tax Advisory

- Provide day-to-day GST advisory to business teams
- Ensure compliance with latest GST laws and regulatory changes

Tax Accounting

- Perform monthly GST accounting entries
- Ensure reconciliation of indirect tax ledgers
- Prepare reports for finance and global teams

Automation & Process Improvement

- Drive automation of GST returns and reconciliations
- Identify process gaps and improve efficiency
- Work with SAP/ERP systems for tax implementation

Reporting & Training

- Prepare GST dashboards and MIS reports
- Conduct training sessions on GST topics (ITC, RCM, compliance updates)
- Track and communicate regulatory changes

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 510 years of experience in GST / Indirect Tax
- Background in Big 4 (preferred) or large corporate setup
- Strong knowledge of GST laws and compliance
- Hands-on experience with SAP / ERP systems
- Experience in audit, litigation, and tax advisory
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills

Good to Have

- Experience in GST automation / BI tools / dashboards
- Exposure to multi-location or multi-GSTIN environment
