Senior GenAI Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior GenAI Engineer / Lead AI Engineer who has a strong background in Data Science, Machine Learning/AI and has transitioned into Generative AI/LLM technologies.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building production-grade GenAI solutions and should be capable of leading/mentoring a team and taking technical ownership of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Generative AI and LLM-based applications.
• Build production-ready solutions using RAG, LLMs, AI Agents and NLP.
• Work with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex or similar.
• Design and optimize RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases and retrieval workflows.
• Integrate LLM APIs and open-source models into enterprise applications.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into AI solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior AI/ML/GenAI engineers.
• Take ownership of architecture, development, deployment and optimization of GenAI solutions.
• Evaluate LLM outputs and improve accuracy, performance, latency and cost.
• Stay updated with emerging developments in Generative AI, LLMs and Agentic AI.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of overall experience in Data Science / Machine Learning / AI / Software Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Previous experience as a Data Scientist / ML Engineer / AI Engineer is preferred.
• Current/recent experience working on Generative AI / LLM applications.
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning and NLP.
• Hands-on experience with RAG and LLM-based applications.
• Experience with LangChain / LangGraph / LlamaIndex or similar frameworks.
• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, ChromaDB, pgvector, etc.
• Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini, Llama or other LLMs.
• Good understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings and model evaluation.
• Experience mentoring or leading a team is preferred.
