Aulintri is an AI-native, multi-tenant SaaS platform for international freight and U.S. trade compliance — quoting, ocean shipment management, customs clearance, and billing on one connected system. We’re not a slide-deck startup: we’re a licensed NVOCC and customs brokerage that ships real cargo every day through Beyond Logix. Aulintri is being built first to run our own operations, then scaled into a SaaS platform for the broader industry — and you’d be joining at the best possible moment for an engineer: the architecture phase is done and the build sprint is starting.

What makes this engagement different: you are not starting from a blank repo. The platform has a tested pre-build baseline — nine pure TypeScript domain engines (duty calculation, customs entry gating, obligation matching, document field verification, and more) behind defined repository ports, 13 ordered PostgreSQL migrations with row-level security, and 234 passing unit tests. Your job is to bring it to production: repositories, APIs, workflow workers, integrations, and UI wired against contracts that already exist and are documented. Senior engineers ramp fast here because the hard decisions are written down — including why they were made.

AI-first development: you’ll use Claude Code as your primary coding accelerator, with the Claude API powering the platform’s own document extraction and classification. We hire people who see AI as a genuine multiplier, not a buzzword — our sprint velocity assumes it.

What you’ll own

• The compliance-critical spine end-to-end — customs & billing is the critical path: entry preparation (ISF, CBP Form 7501), a non-bypassable licensed-broker review gate, and an idempotent accounting bridge to Zoho Books
• The DB-driven RBAC + ABAC control plane (CASL abilities compiled from PostgreSQL, RLS as the tenant backstop)
• Carrier tracking integration built to the DCSA Track & Trace standard (adapter + connector architecture)
• Technical leadership of a small pod — one mid-level and one junior engineer build alongside you; you set the bar through review, pairing, and unblocking, with the Head of Engineering owning direction
• A hard, real deadline: FCL freight live end-to-end on production in ~10–12 weeks

You’re a fit if you have

• 6+ years building production SaaS, with at least one platform taken from early build to real customers
• Deep PostgreSQL skills — schema design, migrations, indexes, and ideally row-level security in a multi-tenant system
• Strong typed backend work (Node/NestJS or equivalent) and comfort owning API contracts
• A track record of raising a team’s output through review and mentorship — this seat multiplies, it doesn’t just produce
• The judgment to work in a compliance-critical domain: our definition of done is tests green · RLS verified · permission-gated · audit-logged — every time, on every endpoint
• Written and async communication strong enough for a distributed team (daily async standups, weekly sync)
• Bonus, not required: logistics, fintech, or other regulated-domain SaaS; Temporal or similar workflow engines; LLM-powered document pipelines
