Job Description

• Develops complex web applications, taking ownership of both the front-end and back-end architecture.
• Uses advanced front-end frameworks and back-end technologies to design, build, and optimize scalable, high-performance applications.
• Ensures adherence to best practices in coding and system design.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to create seamless, user-focused web applications, managing the full development lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Develops, integrates and optimizes Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) across multiple services and platforms.
• Designs scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs that support the needs of teams.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure APIs meet business requirements and best practices in data security and scalability.
• Mentors junior developers on API design, integration, and troubleshooting, ensuring all team members adhere to coding standards and best practices for API development.
• Plans and executes test plans for complex web applications, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
• Designs and implements automated testing frameworks and processes to identify and address issues efficiently.
• Uses advanced debugging techniques to resolve complex technical problems and optimize code.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain a high-quality user experience and application stability.
• Deploys web applications, ensuring that releases are efficient, scalable, and secure.
• Implements automated deployment processes.
• Works closely with DevOps teams to optimize the infrastructure and ensure the application can handle production traffic.
• Guides the team in maintaining high uptime and optimizing the deployment process.
• Ensures a structured and organized approach to code management.
• Mentors junior developers on advanced version control practices, including complex branching strategies and conflict resolution.
• Handles code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring that the team adheres to standards that improve development efficiency.
• Actively contributes to improving workflow processes and guides the team in optimizing version control practices to enhance project delivery.
• Mentors and coaches junior developers on more complex development tasks, providing guidance on both front-end and back-end technologies.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree. 5 years of related experience. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Skills & Abilities Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex IT concepts in an understandable manner. Possesses excellent attention to detail. Excels at diagnosing and solving complex technical problems across the entire development stack. Possesses excellent skills in managing data efficiently across systems, applying strategies for data storage, retrieval, and processing. Possesses solid knowledge and understanding of business metrics and the ability to align company goals and objectives with development strategies and initiatives. Demonstrates excellent understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) principles. Consistent ability to work effectively across all levels in a highly dynamic environment. Demonstrates a proactive approach to innovation by identifying and applying emerging technologies to improve efficiency, quality and process optimization.

Amount Of Travel Required No Travel is required

Background Check and Drug Testing Information CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as “CDM Smith”) reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions. In addition, CDM Smith may conduct drug testing for designated positions. Background checks are conducted after an offer of employment has been made in the United States. The timing of when background checks will be conducted on candidates for positions outside the United States will vary based on country statutory law but in no case, will the background check precede an interview. CDM Smith will conduct interviews of qualified individuals prior to requesting a criminal background check, and no job application submitted prior to such interview shall inquire into an applicant's criminal history. If this position is subject to a background check for any convictions related to its responsibilities and requirements, employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history. Criminal history will not automatically disqualify a candidate.
