Senior Full Stack Developer - PHP

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in PHP, WordPress/Drupal, React.js, and Next.js to design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications. The candidate will take technical ownership, contribute to application architecture, and collaborate with cross-functional and globally distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP, WordPress/Drupal, React.js, and Next.js.
• Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, databases, and third-party services.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.

Architecture & Technical Ownership

• Contribute to application architecture, technical design, and modernization initiatives.
• Identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and scalability concerns.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and promote engineering best practices.
• Own deliverables from requirements and development through testing, deployment, and support.

Security & Compliance

• Apply OWASP principles and secure coding practices across applications and APIs.
• Prevent common vulnerabilities, including SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, and authentication or authorization weaknesses.
• Implement secure access controls, input validation, session management, and secrets handling.
• Support vulnerability remediation, dependency updates, and AWS security best practices.

Multi-Location Development & Collaboration

• Develop applications supporting multiple countries, regions, languages, and business units.
• Apply internationalization and localization best practices.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams, participate in sprint activities, estimate tasks, and communicate progress and risks.
• Collaborate effectively with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, UX/UI, DevOps, and globally distributed teams.

Cloud & Development Practices

• Deploy and support applications on AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Use Git for branching, pull requests, code reviews, merging, and release management.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and production deployments.

Preferred candidate profile

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including full-stack web application development.
• Significant experience with PHP and WordPress/Drupal, alongside strong React.js and practical Next.js expertise.
• Experience with AWS, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and secure application development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and mentor junior and mid-level developers.
• Experience supporting multi-country applications and collaborating across time zones is highly desirable.
