Senior Full-Stack AI Developer Azure | Agentic AI | React/Next.js | Python

About the Opportunity: UpTye is hiring a Senior Full-Stack AI Developer on behalf of one of our clients, an early-stage technology startup building an AI-powered decision platform for retail and supply chain teams. The platform combines intelligent AI agents with Microsoft Azure services to help large retailers improve decision-making across demand forecasting, inventory planning, replenishment, and merchandising. The client is looking for a hands-on developer who can take ownership across AI development, backend engineering, frontend development, and cloud deployment. This is an opportunity to work closely with the founding team and help build a product from an early stage. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design, develop, and deploy intelligent AI agents using Azure OpenAI, LangChain, LangGraph, and related agentic AI frameworks. 2. Build retrieval-augmented generation pipelines involving embeddings, vector search, document processing, and prompt workflows. 3. Develop modern and responsive web applications using React, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript. 4. Build scalable backend services and APIs using Python and/or .NET. 5. Architect, deploy, and manage applications on Microsoft Azure using services such as Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, Cosmos DB, and Azure AI Search. 6. Translate retail and supply chain workflows into practical and scalable product features. 7. Integrate AI models, third-party APIs, databases, and enterprise systems into the platform. 8. Take ownership of features from technical design and prototyping through testing, deployment, and production support. 9. Make practical engineering decisions while balancing development speed, scalability, security, and maintainability. 10. Collaborate directly with the client’s founder and product stakeholders to move ideas from concept to production. Required Experience and Skills: 1. 5 or more years of professional full-stack software development experience. 2. Strong hands-on proficiency in Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, and React. 3. Practical experience building applications using React and Next.js. 4. Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including application deployment, APIs, databases, and data pipelines. 5. Hands-on experience with large language models, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, and retrieval-augmented generation. 6. Experience building AI-powered applications or intelligent agents using frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph. 7. Strong understanding of API development, application architecture, authentication, databases, and cloud deployments. 8. Ability to independently own technical deliverables and solve complex or ambiguous engineering problems. 9. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Experience working on retail, merchandising, inventory, forecasting, or supply chain technology products. 2. Familiarity with platforms such as Blue Yonder, RELEX, SAP, or similar enterprise solutions. 3. Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j. 4. Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric. 5. Experience designing multi-agent systems or production-grade agentic AI workflows. 6. Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, observability, cloud security, and infrastructure best practices.
