Senior Frontend Engineer

A Senior Frontend Engineer strives to build solid frontend foundations, infrastructure, and top-notch experiences. You are required to work in teams alongside backend developers, graphic designers, and user experience designers to ensure all elements of web creation are consistent. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Agentic Development Direction: Effectively direct AI agents end-to-end through scoped vertical slices from scaffolding and core feature development to unit and E2E testing.
• Context and Prompt Engineering: Architects clear technical specifications and context boundaries to steer agents accurately.
• UI/UX Implementation: Develop high-quality, responsive, and visually stunning user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, translating wireframes and mockups into functional UI components.
• Framework Management: Implement and maintain robust frontend frameworks and libraries, primarily React.
• Rigorous Verification: Maintain strict verification discipline. Review agent-generated code and diffs with high technical taste, catching subtle, wrong-but-plausible implementations, hallucinated APIs, or scope creep.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Ensure absolute code reliability by enforcing thorough testing and debugging.
• Architectural and Tradeoff Judgment: Make critical architectural decisions, file layout planning, type designs, and library choice tradeoffs that agents cannot make autonomously.
• Integration and Collaboration: Work closely with backend engineers to integrate frontend interfaces with server-side logic and REST APIs. Collaborate with product managers to understand requirements and provide technical insights.
• Mentorship and Best Practices: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth and helping them develop agentic fluency.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3+ years of relevant frontend development experience.
• Proficient knowledge of React (or other popular JS frameworks like Angular or Vue.js ) and common frontend build tools.
• Experience or strong comfort with modern AI development tools (e. g., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex). Ability to decompose complex features into logical agent execution loops and course-correct them when they drift.
• Proven ability to build a non-trivial feature from scratch and drive it to completion by knowing when to prompt an agent and when 5 minutes of manual typing beats 15 minutes of prompt engineering.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and integrating asynchronous data flow.
• A strong willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to rapidly evolving AI capabilities, whatever lets you deliver the best product.
