Senior Finishing Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Site Engineer / Sr. Engineer (Finishing)

Function: Engineering

Location: Chembur / Govandi

Reporting to: Project Manager

POSITION OBJECTIVE

To execute & Monitor all finishing works across the project life cycle, ensuring timely completion of project deliverables as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements and project execution plan.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute and monitor all finishing activities at site including plastering, flooring, tiling, painting, waterproofing, false ceiling, doors & windows, carpentry, sanitary fixtures and other finishing works as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Plan and sequence finishing activities in coordination with the Project Manager, Planning, MEP and other concerned teams to achieve project timelines.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors for deployment of adequate manpower, materials, tools and equipment as per project requirements.
• Ensure execution of finishing works as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements and quality standards.
• Regularly inspect ongoing finishing works and identify quality issues, deviations and defects; ensure timely rectification.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, interior designers and other stakeholders for clarification of drawings, specifications and site-related issues.
• Ensure proper coordination between Civil, finishing and MEP services to avoid rework and delays.
• Monitor contractor performance and workmanship and highlight any deviations affecting cost, quality or timelines.
• Assist in handover activities by ensuring completion of finishing works, rectification of defects and closure of outstanding items.

Qualifications

Diploma (Full Time), BE / B.Tech (Civil) Preferred.

Diploma - Min 7 years of relevant experience as Finishing Engineer in High Rise Residential.
BE / B.Tech - Min 5 years of relevant experience as Finishing Engineer in High Rise Residential.
