    Experience: 5-7 Years
    Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

    Job Overview

We are looking for a commercially driven Senior Manager Finance to lead financial planning, MIS, cash flow management, fundraising, foreign investment and M&A activities for a growing IT consulting and professional services company.

This is a strategic finance leadership opportunity involving direct collaboration with the CEO, founders and senior leadership team. The role requires a combination of strong financial fundamentals, business partnering, financial modelling and hands-on experience in fundraising and investment-related activities.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a software, IT consulting or IT professional services organisation and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business decisions.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Business Performance

    • Develop annual budgets, quarterly financial targets and rolling forecasts.
    • Monitor revenue, gross margins, EBITDA, consultant utilisation and collections against business targets.
    • Analyse project-level profitability, billing rates, delivery costs and consulting unit economics.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.

    2. MIS, Reporting & Financial Analysis

    • Own monthly MIS covering P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, receivables ageing and client/project profitability.
    • Develop financial dashboards and management reports for the CEO, leadership team and board.
    • Prepare investor presentations, financial models and board reporting packs.
    • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, ideally by the seventh working day of each month.

    3. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

    • Manage short-term and annual cash flow forecasting, treasury and working capital.
    • Improve collections, reduce days sales outstanding (DSO) and optimise payment cycles.
    • Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, foreign currency receipts and associated FX exposure.

    4. Fundraising & Foreign Investment

    • Support and lead equity and debt fundraising initiatives.
    • Develop financial models, valuation analyses, investor presentations and due diligence documentation.
    • Identify and engage international investors, venture capital funds, private equity firms, family offices and strategic investment partners.
    • Coordinate foreign investment compliance, including applicable FEMA, RBI and FDI requirements, with external legal and financial advisors.
    • Evaluate investment opportunities and the deployment of surplus funds.

    5. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

    • Identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities, particularly within the SAP consulting and IT services ecosystem.
    • Lead financial due diligence, valuation analysis and deal structuring support.
    • Coordinate with legal, tax and financial advisors during transaction execution.
    • Support post-acquisition financial integration, reporting and internal controls.

    6. Accounting, Compliance & Financial Controls

    • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and month-end/year-end closure using Zoho Books.
    • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, transfer pricing, ROC filings and statutory audit requirements, as applicable.
    • Strengthen financial controls, approval workflows and accounting policies.
    • Lead a small finance team and coordinate with external chartered accountants, auditors and advisors.

    Mandatory Requirements

    • Industry Experience: Prior finance experience in a software, IT consulting, implementation or IT professional services company. This is a non-negotiable requirement.
    • Experience: 5–7 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 2 years in a team leadership or managerial capacity.
    • Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a reputed institute.
    • Financial Management: Demonstrated ownership of MIS, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and cash flow management.
    • Fundraising & M&A: Practical involvement in at least one equity/debt fundraising exercise and one M&A transaction or financial due diligence assignment.
    • Foreign Investment: Experience in sourcing, evaluating or managing foreign investment, with working knowledge of FEMA and FDI regulations.
    • Accounting Systems: Hands-on experience with Zoho Books.
    • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel, financial analysis, valuation and financial modelling.

    Preferred Skills

    • Exposure to the SAP ecosystem or SAP consulting business models, including implementation, time-and-material, fixed-price and application management services.
    • Experience handling overseas clients, international transactions, multiple entities or foreign subsidiaries.
    • Familiarity with transfer pricing, foreign currency transactions and cross-border financial compliance.
    • Knowledge of Zoho Analytics, Zoho People, Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
    • Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
    • A hands-on, entrepreneurial approach with the ability to build financial processes in a growing organisation.
    • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

    Location, Work Mode & Travel

    • The primary work location is Pune, Maharashtra.
    • The role is primarily office-based to ensure effective supervision of daily accounting operations and coordination with the finance team.
    • Work-from-home arrangements may be considered in suitable cases, provided the candidate can visit the office frequently and oversee day-to-day accounting activities.
    • Willingness to travel to other cities across India, including Bengaluru and Hyderabad, for investor meetings, fundraising discussions and business-related engagements is essential.
    • Marathi communication skills are preferred. Gujarati-speaking candidates will also be considered, provided they are comfortable communicating in Marathi, given the organisation's predominantly Marathi-speaking work environment.

    Equal Opportunity & Career Restart

Professionals returning to work after a career break, including women restarting their careers following maternity leave, are welcome to apply, provided they meet the role's core technical and experience requirements.

    What We Offer

    • A strategic finance leadership position with direct access to the founders and senior leadership.
    • The opportunity to influence business growth, fundraising, foreign investment and acquisition strategy.
    • Competitive compensation with performance-linked incentives.
    • A collaborative, growth-oriented IT consulting environment.
    • The opportunity to build scalable financial systems and contribute directly to business performance.

Interested candidates who meet the mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply.
