Job Summary

The QMS will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continually improving the organization's Quality Management System in compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, customer-specific requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. The role will drive quality excellence, manage audits, facilitate process improvements, ensure compliance across manufacturing operations, and support the company's aerospace quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

QMS Management

• Maintain and continuously improve the AS9100-certified Quality Management System.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and internal quality policies.
• Monitor QMS effectiveness through KPIs, internal audits, corrective actions, and management reviews.
• Develop, review, and control quality procedures, work instructions, processes, and records.

AS9100 Compliance

• Lead AS9100 surveillance, recertification, and customer audits.
• Ensure all departments comply with AS9100 requirements.
• Facilitate risk management, operational process control, and continual improvement initiatives.
• Conduct gap assessments and implement corrective actions.

NADCAP Management

• Coordinate and lead NADCAP audits for applicable special processes.
• Ensure compliance with NADCAP requirements across manufacturing processes.
• Drive closure of NCRs, findings, and observations from NADCAP audits.
• Interface with process owners to maintain NADCAP accreditation requirements.

Internal & External Audits

• Plan and conduct internal quality audits.
• Coordinate customer, certification body, and regulatory audits.
• Track audit findings and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Prepare audit reports and present results to management.

Quality Improvement

• Drive root cause analysis using 8D, Fishbone Diagram, 5 Why, FMEA, CAPA methodologies.
• Facilitate process improvement projects to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
• Monitor non-conformances and customer complaints and ensure effective corrective actions.

Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure effective document control and record management.
• Maintain quality manuals, procedures, forms, and process documentation.
• Support configuration management and change management processes.

Training & Awareness

• Conduct QMS awareness and internal auditor training programs.
• Train employees on AS9100, NADCAP, quality tools, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote quality culture and customer-focused thinking throughout the organization.

Customer & Supplier Quality Support

• Support customer audits and quality reviews.
• Collaborate with supplier quality teams to address supplier quality issues.
• Participate in supplier assessments and qualification activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Master's Degree or Quality-related certification preferred.

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Quality Management Systems within Aerospace, Defence, Aviation, Precision Engineering, or Manufacturing industries.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in managing AS9100 Quality Systems.
• Hands-on experience with NADCAP accreditation and audit management.
• Experience handling customer and third-party certification audits.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of AS9100 Rev D requirements.
• Working knowledge of NADCAP requirements and special process controls.
• ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems expertise.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, FMEA, SPC, MSA.
• Internal Auditor and Lead Auditor knowledge.
• Quality tools such as 8D, APQP, PPAP, Control Plans.

Preferred Certifications

• AS9100 Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor Certification.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification.
• NADCAP Auditor Training (Preferred).
• Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) - ASQ (Preferred).
