Senior Executive (Oder-Cash Application Specialist) Gurugram

CASH APPLICATION

A Cash Application Specialist (or Clerk/Analyst) matches incoming customer payments to open invoices in an organization's accounting or ERP system to track revenue and maintain accurate accounts receivable (AR).

Core Responsibilities

• Payment Processing: Post daily customer payments received via checks, ACH, wire transfers, electronic funds transfers (EFT), and credit cards.
• Invoice Matching: Reconcile incoming funds against open customer accounts using remittance advice and ERP systems (such as SAP, QuickBooks, or Cerner).
• Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve short payments, overpayments, duplicate payments, and unapplied or unidentified cash.
• Bank & Account Reconciliation: Match daily bank deposits with ledger entries and support month-end or quarter-end closing activities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Customer Service, Sales, Collections, and Treasury teams to clear accounts and answer payment inquiries.
• Reporting & Compliance: Generate daily/monthly cash receipts reports and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations (e.g., SOX).

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors, degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: 1 to 5+ years in Accounts Receivable (AR), Order-to-Cash (O2C), or general accounting (often within shared service centers).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and strong command of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables). Preferred candidates who have experience working with US /UK geography.
