JOB PURPOSE:

Maintaining Medical Records of all patients as per regulations and smooth retrieval of the files as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• To direct the provision of medical record services of a Hospital, including record completion, transmission, indexing, coding, research, filling, storage, retrieval and maintenance.
• Ensuring entry of every file issued / return.
• Plans, develops and implements strategies for generating space in the MRD.
• To represent the organization in legal proceedings whenever the summons received from court of Law.
• To organize the Medical Records Committee meeting regularly, discuss and sort departmental related issues.
• Handling of mediclaim/Insurance/ TPA cell queries and organizing reports and discharge summary of cashless patients for faster clearance of payment.
• Generation of MIS reports.
• To send mortality files to medical audit department on monthly basis.
• Ensuring complete confidentiality of the MRD files.
• Reviewing of records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• To be part of the quality improvement and initiative protocols of organization

Essential Qualification :

B.Sc. in Medical Records , Masters in Medical Records
