Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IPD Billing Executive to manage inpatient billing operations, ensure accurate bill preparation, coordinate with clinical and insurance teams, and facilitate smooth patient discharge while adhering to hospital billing policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and finalize inpatient (IPD) bills accurately and on time.
• Handle patient billing, including room charges, pharmacy, diagnostics, procedures, surgeries, and other hospital services.
• Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, doctors, insurance, TPA, and Patient Care Services teams for bill clearance.
• Verify package rates, discounts, approvals, deposits, and outstanding payments.
• Ensure accurate billing as per hospital tariffs and approved rate contracts.
• Handle cashless and insurance-related billing documentation in coordination with the insurance desk.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and patient queries professionally.
• Coordinate with the discharge team to ensure timely bill settlement and patient discharge.
• Maintain billing records, receipts, refunds, and daily billing reports.
• Follow hospital policies, internal controls, and billing SOPs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; preferably B.Com or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in IPD billing within a hospital.
• Knowledge of hospital billing software/HIS and MS Excel.
• Understanding of hospital tariffs, packages, deposits, discounts, and discharge procedures.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per hospital requirements.

Preferred Candidate: Candidates with hands-on experience in IPD billing and patient discharge processes in a multispecialty hospital.
