Senior Executive - Indirect Tax Lead

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Indirect Tax Lead to manage GST-related compliance and support the organization in audits, assessments, and litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of GST laws and hands-on experience in return filing and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• GST Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Return, etc.).
• Audit Support: Coordinate and assist in GST audits conducted by internal teams and external authorities.
• Assessment & Litigation: Provide support in GST assessments, respond to notices, and assist in litigation matters.
• Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliation of GST data with books of accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Advisory: Assist in interpreting GST laws and provide guidance on tax implications for business transactions.
• Documentation: Maintain proper records and documentation for GST compliance and audits.
• Process Improvement: Identify gaps in compliance processes and suggest improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Qualified CA/CMA + Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: 23 years of hands-on experience in GST compliance and indirect taxation.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of GST laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in GST return filing and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with GST audit and litigation processes.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.

Preferred:

• Experience in manufacturing or similar industry.
