Senior Engineering Partner

Job Summary

The Senior Engineering Partner is a high-impact technical role responsible for owning, stabilizing, and scaling production systems while partnering closely with the Transformation team. This role requires deep backend engineering expertise, strong architectural judgment, hands-on AI-assisted development experience, and the ability to set engineering standards across fast-moving, AI-enabled environments. This is expected to be a long-term collaboration (pending fit) and is a priority hire.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery and maintenance of production systems with 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Provide senior-level technical judgment through prior tech-lead or architect responsibilities.
• Build and review backend services using Python or TypeScript/Node, including fast, high-quality code reviews.
• Use AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code or similar) to accelerate development and correct flawed AI-generated output.
• Define and enforce engineering standards: testing frameworks, CI/CD gates, code review guidelines, and production-ready criteria - especially for AI-built or rapidly developed tools.
• Design and integrate APIs, data models, async workflows, and queue-based processing across multiple systems.
• Manage cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) including deployments, infrastructure-as-code, and environment setup.
• Build and maintain SQL-based data pipelines, ensure data quality, and reconcile data across multiple systems of record.
• Harden, stabilize, or rewrite fragile internal tools without disrupting ongoing business operations.

• Familiarity with rapid prototyping in AI-driven development environments.
