Senior Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

• Managing Application Development Standards, Processes, and Tools.
• Ability to foster a culture of experimentation, innovation, and responsible adoption of emerging AI technologies within engineering teams.
• Works with direct reports to facilitate consistency of service delivery across client groups.
• Facilitates compliance with the standard set of application development tools and processes that will drive consistency and predictability throughout the SDLC for all client groups, including SDLC standard tools and processes for both waterfall and agile development, estimating standard tools and processes, and incorporating flexibility for small and large projects.
• Deployment standard tools and processes.
• Managing Day-To-Day Relationships with Teams.
• Drives timely resolution of escalated service delivery problems and minimizes the impact of any client service delivery issues.
• Responds to issues identified in project surveys or other feedback processes to continually improve client satisfaction.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, and product engineering, including 5+ years in technical leadership and people management.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in software architecture, enterprise integration, backend systems, microservices, and modern frontend/micro-frontend architectures.
• Strong hands-on engineering expertise in ReactJS, Next.js, Java, Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, reactive programming, Node.js, GraphQL, REST APIs, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud-native application development.
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end technical strategy and architecture for Martech and Digital Experience platforms, delivering scalable, secure, high-performance solutions across frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, and cloud technologies while driving modernization, technical debt reduction, engineering standards, and production reliability.
• Proven experience delivering AI-enabled enterprise applications, including integration of LLMs such as OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, Llama, or similar models into cloud-native applications and microservices to enable conversational AI, intelligent automation, personalization, and enhanced digital experiences.
• Strong experience with cloud-native development and modern DevOps practices in AWS EKS, Docker, CI/CD, GitHub, Harness, Infrastructure as Code, cloud migration, monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, performance monitoring, and production support.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices, including API orchestration, event-driven architectures, customer engagement platforms, mobile/web frontend architectures, and enterprise system integrations.
• Knowledge of backend technologies: Node.js, Java, SQL, NoSQL, Spring Boot, Kafka, Spark.
• Experience designing and implementing digital customer experience and marketing solutions, including personalization, A/B testing, experimentation, customer engagement, analytics, and omnichannel experiences.
• Experience with Kafka, Spark, API gateways, backend services, databases, networking, authentication/security, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Ability to bridge business and technology, partnering effectively with product, architecture, UX, Martech, digital, data, enterprise architecture, and onshore/offshore engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
• Self-driven, curious, adaptable, and fast-learning, with a strong passion for emerging technologies, digital innovation, AI, and delivering high-quality consumer-facing products.
• Relevant experience in systems integration and development, package analysis, and implementation.
• Excellent collaborator, working in fully agile product or software delivery teams regionally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
• Influencing technology strategy by providing strategic advice and being a trusted advisor to discipline partners for leveraging/customizing software to meet their digital marketing requirements
• Proven ability to manage and architect omnichannel digital experiences integrating multiple backend systems, APIs, customer data platforms, and Martech solutions
• Experience with automation, CI/CD, release management, application deployment, and cloud-based Martech/Adobe platform implementations.
• Demonstrated experience working in a product-based Agile delivery model, partnering closely with product owners and business stakeholders to develop innovative technology solutions for complex customer and business problems.
• Strong technical leadership and people-management skills, including mentoring senior engineers and technical leads, establishing engineering best practices, and building high-performing offshore engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, prioritization, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, dependencies, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both business/product leaders and technical/enterprise architecture audiences.
• Led the integration of large language models (LLMs) such as GPT, Google Gemini, Llama, etc. into enterprise applications, enabling conversational AI and intelligent automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Cloud/Martech technologies, including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Target, Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Adobe App Builder, Adobe Web SDK, Adobe Analytics, or similar enterprise Martech platforms is preferred.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification.
