Senior Engineering Leader

A visionary and skilled Software Engineering leader to lead a dynamic team of software engineers and drive the future of our product offerings.

Position Overview:

The leader Software Engineering will lead our software engineering team, overseeing the development and delivery of high-quality software products. This role requires a balance of leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on technical expertise in modern architecture and design.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Management:

- Lead, inspire, and manage a team of software engineers, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.

- Develop and implement engineering best practices, processes, and standards across the organization.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and global stakeholders to align technology goals with business objectives.

- Mentor and develop engineering leaders to facilitate career growth and succession planning.

2. Technical Vision and Strategy:

- Define and drive the adoption of an engineering strategy and technology roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic objectives.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the engineering team remains at the cutting edge.

3. Hands-on Technical Expertise:

- Provide hands-on leadership in architecture and design of scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.

- Evaluate and implement new technologies and frameworks, ensuring they align with long-term product vision.

- Collaborate with the team to solve complex and challenging technical problems, leading by example to inspire innovation and excellence.

4. Quality and Performance:

- Ensure the delivery of high-quality software products by establishing and maintaining rigorous testing, performance monitoring, and quality assurance processes.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize team efficiency, product quality, and delivery timelines.

5. Resource Management:

- Identify and address resource gaps, making strategic hiring decisions and leveraging external partners as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 20 - 25+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

- Proven track record in leading large engineering teams and delivering successful software products.

- Strong hands-on experience with modern software architectures, cloud technologies, and software development methodologies.

- Excellent knowledge of technology trends, emerging technologies, and the software industry landscape.

- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in technologies e.g., API, Java, Snowflake, Postgres, Cloud services, AI/ML, microservices architecture, DevOps/SRE and test automation frameworks.

- Proven experience in a product-based organization focusing on Investment Banking or Capital Markets.

- Demonstrated success in driving transformation initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Should have handled at least 150 Team in their career.

Note:

- Current CTC in the range of 1.3 - 1.8 Cr (130 - 180 LPA).

- 20 - 25 years of overall professional experience.

- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing large engineering teams of 150+ members during their career.

- Prior experience with leading global financial institutions such as Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, Fidelity Investments, Morgan Stanley, or other reputed organizations is highly preferred.

- Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience in Java and Microservices architecture, along with a proven track record of engineering leadership.
