Senior Engineering Leader - Automotive R&D

Role Overview

Tata Ficosa Automotive Systems is seeking a senior R&D leader to support for Mirrors Design. The role will drive advanced engineering, new product development, and customer-facing technical excellence aligned with Indian and global OEM requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support development of Automotive Products (Indirect Vision Systems /Exterior / Interior Mirrors / Digital Mirrors / Surround View Systems, Camera Monitoring Systems)
• Drive new product development from concept to validation and industrialization
• Act as technical interface with OEM customers during RFI, RFQs, Designing & Development
• Support R&D strategy, technology roadmap, and innovation initiatives
• Guide and mentor Engineering Teams; build future-ready R&D capabilities
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards, quality systems, and regulatory norms
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Global R&D teams

Candidate Profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automotive / Mechatronics Engineering
• 15-20 years of automotive R&D experience, with 5+ years in senior technical leadership roles
• Strong expertise in Automotive Product design as FSS.
• Work Experience with Tier1 automotive suppliers and catering Domestic and International OEMs
• Exposure to mechatronics, Electrical, electronics integration, or safety systems preferred
• Experience of DOE & Problem Solving
• Vast Exposure of Product Testing & Homologation.
