About this role
Role Description
As a Senior Engineer at you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining scalable web and marketing technology solutions that underpin client campaigns and internal tools. You will work closely with performance marketers, designers, and content specialists to build high-conversion websites, optimize tracking and analytics, and integrate APIs and automation workflows to support data-backed decision-making. Daily tasks include writing clean, maintainable code, reviewing code from other team members, improving site performance and security, and troubleshooting technical issues across WordPress, Shopify, and custom web applications. You will also contribute to technical strategy, mentor junior engineers, document best practices, and collaborate on new product and toolkit development for founders. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Netherlands.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong web development skills such as proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and experience with responsive, mobile-first design.
- Candidates should possess back-end engineering skills including experience with server-side languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP), RESTful APIs, and database design and management (SQL/NoSQL).
- Candidates should possess platform and CMS skills with hands-on experience in WordPress, Shopify, and related plugins/themes, including performance optimization and custom integrations.
- Candidates should possess DevOps and infrastructure skills such as familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and basic security and monitoring practices.
- Candidates should possess data and analytics skills, including implementing tracking pixels, configuring analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tag Manager), and working with marketing data to support performance reporting.
