Senior Engineer

Tata Ficosa Automotive Systems Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced and dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Manufacturing and industrial engineering within the automotive industry, with a focus on Industry 4.0, Automation, Digitization, IoT, PLC, SCADA, MES Integration and advanced technologies.

Process Engineering & Production Support

• Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes to achieve quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Prepare and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), PFMEA, SOPs, Work Instructions, Control Plans, and related documents.
• Conduct cycle time studies, line balancing, and manpower optimization.
• Analyse and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp-up activities.

Vendor & Project Management

• Coordinate with suppliers for equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Manage manufacturing engineering projects within budget and timeline.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, SCM, and R&D.

Capacity & Layout Planning

• Plan production capacities based on customer demand and business requirements.
• Develop plant layouts and optimize material flow.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new equipment, tooling, and automation projects.
• Support expansion and facility planning activities.

Automation & Digitization

• Support Industry 4.0, automation, and digital manufacturing initiatives.
• Utilize manufacturing software, MES systems, and data analytics tools for performance monitoring.
• Develop dashboards and KPI tracking systems.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and TQM initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for productivity improvement, waste reduction, and cost savings.
• Implement process improvements using Industrial Engineering methodologies.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and 8D techniques.

Quality & Safety

• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with quality standards and customer requirements.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Support implementation of EHS requirements and safe manufacturing practices.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and company standards.
