Senior Web Application Engineer - Job Summary

Innominds is seeking a Senior Web Application Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality web application solutions. The role may have a primary focus in frontend or backend engineering based on the candidates experience and project requirements. The engineer will collaborate across application layers to deliver reliable, maintainable, and scalable features.

Primary Engineering Focus

• Frontend focus: Build modern web experiences using TypeScript and SvelteKit, with practical knowledge of APIs and Node.js integration.
• Backend focus: Build APIs and services using TypeScript and Node.js, with practical knowledge of web application workflows and frontend integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain production-quality web application features.
• Contribute to frontend application development or backend service development according to the assigned engineering focus.
• Collaborate across frontend, backend, API, integration, and data-flow activities.
• Participate in technical design discussions, estimation, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, and code reviews.
• Develop reusable UI components and services, or reliable APIs and backend components, according to the assigned area of responsibility.
• Define and consume API contracts and collaborate on data structures, integration behavior, validation, and error handling.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests appropriate to the solution area.
• Troubleshoot functional, integration, browser, performance, and production issues.
• Contribute to application architecture, coding standards, automated testing, and continuous improvement.
• Support production releases and mentor engineers with less experience.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software-development experience.
• Strong TypeScript experience.
• Professional experience developing web applications, frontend solutions, backend services, or APIs.
• Demonstrated depth in at least one of the following areas:
• Frontend development using SvelteKit or a comparable modern frontend framework.
• Backend development using Node.js, web services, and API development.
• Practical understanding of the complementary area, including web application integration, REST APIs, browser-to-API communication, or frontend-to-backend workflows.
• Experience with software testing, Git, code reviews, debugging, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and communicate clearly.
• Experience supporting production applications and resolving technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both SvelteKit and Node.js.
• Experience with micro-frontends, modular architecture, or application modernization.
• Experience with Angular or other legacy frontend frameworks.
• Experience with GCP or comparable cloud platforms.
• Experience with Ruby, Scala, or Go.
• Experience with caching, messaging, event-driven systems, or data ingestion.
• Experience in enterprise, regulated, or data-intensive applications.
