Senior Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day civil construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure execution of work as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, method statements, and project schedules.
• Review drawings and coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve site-related issues.
• Check quantity, quality, dimensions, levels, alignment, and workmanship of executed works.
• Ensure that materials used at site meet the approved specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors for daily work planning and resource deployment.
• Monitor manpower, material, equipment, and machinery utilization at site.
• Compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on quantities, applicable rates, specifications, and market conditions.
• Conduct rate analysis for civil construction items Compare BOQ quantities with drawings and scope of work to ensure completeness.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, project managers, and site teams for clarification of quantities and specifications.
• Prepare comparative statements for contractor quotations and assist in commercial evaluation.
• Review contractor quotations against BOQ, specifications, and approved scope.
• Verify site measurements and quantities executed for contractor billing.
• Check contractor bills against approved BOQ, measurements, work completion, and contractual rates.
• Track variations, deviations, additional works, and omissions against the approved BOQ.
