Senior Engineer - UI

About the role

We are looking for a Senior UI Engineer to create responsive, accessible and high-performing web applications. You will own frontend modules, build reusable components, help evolve the design system and contribute to modernisation and migration initiatives across customer- and operations-facing interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive web applications using React and Next.js.
• Build, document and maintain reusable UI components.
• Contribute to design-system standards, patterns and governance.
• Develop frontend modules and integrate REST APIs.
• Support modernisation and website migration initiatives.
• Improve accessibility, SEO and cross-browser behaviour.
• Measure and optimize frontend performance and Core Web Vitals.
• Write tests for components and critical user journeys.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

What success looks like

• Own frontend modules independently from implementation through production support.
• Build scalable, reusable and accessible interfaces.
• Collaborate closely with design, backend, product and QA teams.
• Make evidence-based performance improvements.
• Maintain high standards for TypeScript quality, testing and documentation.
