Senior Engineer - Strategic Sourcing

Role & responsibilities:

1. Source Selection for new product exclusive components nearer to our plant location. (Minimum 3 sources for each component)
2. Source approval sign off between materials
3. Material cost & Bought out Tooling cost estimation
4. Sending RFQ to Suppliers for exclusive Components.
5. Receiving competitive quote from suppliers
6. Comparison of quotes received from Suppliers against target cost.
7. Finalizing the source with Section Head/Head Materials Approval.
8. Releasing of tool purchase order after PAS/Capes Approval.
9. Component PO to be released.
10. Early involving of supplier with Engineering at design stage itself.
11. Arranging 3D Model from Engineering & Issuing to Supplier.
12. Visiting & Monitoring of Development progress with supplier based on the time plan agreed.
13. Receipt of samples from supplier & Submitting to standards room along with SAC documents.
14.After Sample approval, Receipt of pilot lot along with PPAP documents & Joint Inspection by supplier and PU SQ.
15. Establishing Run at rate at Supplier end with the help CFT.

Experience : Minimum 3 to 5 Years of relevant experience
