Senior Engineer R&D (APQP)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer R&D (APQP) to manage and coordinate product development projects through the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process, ensuring timely project execution, documentation, customer requirements and successful transition from concept to SOP.

Key Responsibilities

1. APQP, PPAP & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with APQP, PPAP and internal procedures (MOP-RD 04).
• Prepare, maintain and control project-related documentation throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Ensure timely submission of APQP/PPAP documents as per customer requirements.
• Maintain a structured digital archive of project documents for easy retrieval.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in APQP processes and documentation systems.

2. Project Management

• Coordinate product development projects from concept to SOP.
• Manage project handovers within the APQP process and ensure timely completion of milestones.
• Track project timelines, deliverables and documentation status.
• Ensure project documentation is accurate and aligned with internal and customer-specific formats.
• Identify project delays, risks and issues and coordinate corrective actions.

3. Customer Coordination

• Act as a key interface between R&D, customers and internal functions.
• Understand and communicate customer requirements related to product, quality, documentation and timelines.
• Ensure timely response and submission of customer-specific APQP/PPAP requirements.
• Coordinate customer feedback and ensure its effective integration into product development.
• Support customer satisfaction by ensuring timely project execution and resolution of concerns.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with R&D, Production, Quality, Marketing and other relevant departments.
• Conduct and participate in cross-functional project meetings.
• Ensure alignment between product specifications, manufacturing capabilities and customer requirements.
• Support resolution of technical and project-related issues.
• Coordinate integration of quality, legal, regulatory and sustainability requirements into projects.

5. KPI & Performance Monitoring

• Track key project KPIs such as:
• Project milestone completion
• APQP/PPAP submission status
• Project timelines
• Documentation compliance
• Customer satisfaction
• Prepare and present monthly KPI reports.
• Analyze trends, identify challenges and recommend improvement actions.

6. Compliance & Regulatory Requirements

• Stay updated on applicable customer-specific, legal, regulatory and sustainability requirements.
• Ensure relevant requirements are incorporated into project documentation and product development activities.
• Coordinate with concerned internal teams to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
