Senior Engineer/ Lead Engineer, QA - Data Testing

Description

Senior QA Data Testing Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in data testing, ETL/ELT validation, and data quality engineering.
Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Python automation, data reconciliation, and database testing across large datasets.
Experience working with cloud data platforms, CI/CD/DataOps, and modern data ecosystems is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute ETL/ELT, data warehouse, and data quality test cases.
• Perform complex SQL-based data validation, reconciliation, and source-to-target testing.
• Develop and maintain automated data testing scripts/frameworks using Python.
• Identify data anomalies, perform root-cause analysis, and manage defects through resolution.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD and DataOps pipelines.
• Support performance/scalability testing and mentor junior QA engineers.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in Data Testing, ETL Testing, or Data Quality Engineering.
• Strong expertise in SQL, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, aggregations, and reconciliation.
• Hands-on experience in ETL/ELT testing and source-to-target data validation.
• Strong experience with Python-based test automation.
• Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse, or similar cloud data platforms.
• Good understanding of CI/CD, DataOps, database testing, and data quality validation.
