Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer who can independently own the full electronics product lifecycle — from PCB and circuit design through embedded firmware development — for our EV and power electronics product lines. This is a cross-functional role for someone equally comfortable at the schematic/PCB level and in embedded C/C++, who can bridge hardware and software teams, take end-to-end ownership of products from prototype to production, and mentor junior engineers on both sides of the stack.Key ResponsibilitiesHardware Design & DevelopmentLead the design, development, and validation of PCB layouts for EV chargers, power electronics, and related hardware productsSelect, integrate, and test ICs and other electronic components based on product requirementsOversee hardware assembly processes and ensure manufacturing quality standards are metPrepare and maintain schematics, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and hardware design documentationCoordinate with vendors and manufacturing partners for PCB fabrication and component sourcingConduct hardware testing, debugging, and failure analysis; drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM) improvements Embedded Software & FirmwareDesign, develop, and test embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems (Arduino and similar platforms)Write code to interface with various sensors (temperature, current, voltage, proximity, etc.) used in EV and power electronics productsDevelop communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.) between microcontrollers, sensors, and other hardware modulesOptimize code for performance, memory usage, and power efficiency on embedded platformsDevelop and maintain test scripts/tools for validating sensor and hardware functionalityDocument code, firmware architecture, and testing procedures Cross-Functional & LeadershipOwn hardware-software integration end-to-end, ensuring seamless co-design between electronics and firmwareEnsure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and industry standards for EV and power electronics productsSupport prototyping, pilot builds, field testing, and scale-up to full production • Mentor and guide junior hardware and software engineers; review designs and code across both domainsLiaise with vendors, manufacturing partners, and cross-functional teams to resolve design and production issuesRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, or related Engineering discipline8–10 years of hands-on experience spanning both electronics hardware design and embedded/firmware developmentProficiency with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle, KiCad, or similar)Strong understanding of analog/digital circuit design, power electronics, and embedded hardwareStrong proficiency in C/C++ for microcontroller programming (Arduino Uno and similar platforms)Experience working with various sensors and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN)Familiarity with real-time systems, low-power embedded design, and debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)Experience with hardware assembly, manufacturing processes, and quality controlProven experience in EV, power electronics, or IoT-based productsDemonstrated ability to lead projects end-to-end and mentor junior engineersStrong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills with keen attention to detailSourced from naukri
