Senior Electrical Designer (Oil & Gas)

Role & responsibilities

• 3D Modeling: Develop detailed models for Substations, Transformers, Panels, Cable Trays, and Lighting.
• Software Mastery: Utilise SP3D / E3D for modeling and Navisworks / SPR for model reviews.
• Layouts & Drawings: Generate SLDs, hazardous area classifications, grounding, and lighting layouts using AutoCAD/Microstation.
• Design Calculations: Perform lighting calculations using Dialux and size cable trays/trenches.
• Coordination: Participate in client model reviews and collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Mentorship: Train junior designers in 2D and 3D design tools.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 10+ years strictly within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of IEC, API, and NEC standards.
• Core Strengths: Strong background in raceway routing, grounding principles, and clash detection.
