Education Qualification

Bachelor's Degree (BE/B.Tech) in:

Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering/ Electromechanical Engineering /Electromagnetics

Or any related discipline from a recognized university/institution

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer with experience in electrical system design, control panel engineering, estimation, and tendering activities. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing electrical systems, preparing cost estimates, and supporting project execution for infrastructure and water/wastewater treatment projects.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Design & Engineering

Prepare detailed electrical designs and drawings using EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD. Design and develop:

PLC Panels VFD Panels

Soft Starter Panels SCADA Panels

Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and detailed engineering documentation.

Estimation & Tendering Prepare detailed cost estimates for:

Power Distribution Systems MCCs (Motor Control Centers)

SCADA Systems Cabling and Associated Electrical Infrastructure

Review tender documents and perform quantity take-offs.

Develop technical and commercial proposals.

Conduct vendor evaluations and obtain quotations.

Perform value engineering exercises to optimize project costs and improve bid competitiveness.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Collaborate with design, procurement, and project teams.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.

Coordinate with international customers and stakeholders, particularly based in the USA.

Required Experience & Technical Skills

5 to 8 years of experience in electrical design and estimation, preferably in Infrastructure, Water Treatment Plants (WTP), or Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP). Hands-on experience with:

EPLAN Electric P8 AutoCAD ETAP

MS Excel Strong understanding of:

IEC Standards NEC Standards Electrical Tendering Processes

Power Distribution Systems Preferred Skills & Competencies

Ability to prepare accurate BOMs and electrical cost estimates.

Knowledge of:

UL Standards IEC Standards NEC Standards

NFPA Standards CE Requirements

Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Proficiency in:

Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word

Microsoft PowerPoint Strong communication and presentation skills.
