Senior Drupal Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Drupal Developer with 8+ years of experience in

designing, developing, and maintaining Drupal-based websites. The ideal candidate should

be capable of leading end-to-end development, architecture design, integrations,

performance optimization, security implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-level

Drupal platforms.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, customization, and maintenance of Drupal websites.
• Architect and develop custom Drupal modules, themes, and reusable components based on business requirements.
• Configure and manage Drupal content types, taxonomies, views, blocks, menus, media libraries, user roles, permissions, and workflows.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance Drupal solutions.
• Integrate third-party APIs, CRM, ERP, authentication systems (SSO, LDAP, OAuth) and external services with Drupal.
• Lead Drupal core upgrades, module updates, migrations, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Manage multi-site, multilingual, and enterprise Drupal implementations.
• Ensure website security through regular updates, security patches, and user access management.
• Optimize website performance, scalability, accessibility, and SEO.
• Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, for the best practices.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance and support.
• Manage deployment processes, release management, CI/CD pipelines, and production support activities.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide architectural recommendations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, development standards, and implementation guidelines.
• Work on large-scale enterprise and higher education web projects.

Preferred candidate profile

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Drupal development (Drupal 8/9/10/11).
• Strong expertise in PHP, SQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Extensive experience in custom Drupal module and theme development.
• Strong understanding of Drupal architecture, APIs, Hooks, Configuration Management, Composer, and Drush.
• Strong experience in Drupal APIs, RESTful web services, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management.
• Strong knowledge of Drupal security best practices, vulnerability management, and access control.
• Experience in performance optimization, caching strategies, database optimization, CDN integration, and Core Web Vitals improvements.
• Knowledge of responsive web design, accessibility standards and SEO best practices.
• Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring juniors.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise or higher education web platforms is highly preferred.
