Depending on his/her scope, the incumbent will be in charge of one the domain :
Budget
- Budget Commitment : Demonstrate commitment to achieving project budgets by optimizing resource allocation and adhering to cost-effective engineering practices.
Support operations
- Lead Complex Projects : Lead the technical execution of engineering projects, particularly those involving Newness levels 2-3 (new designs based on existing knowledge or design based on existing rules).
- Technical Problem Solving : Serve as a referent for critical problem solving within the Discipline, utilizing Valeo standard methodologies like QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Customer Communication : Effectively communicate complex technical solutions and challenges to internal and external customers, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Technical Transversal Sharing : Proactively share technical knowledge and best practices across teams and divisions, fostering collaboration and knowledge dissemination.
Competencies
- Technical Coaching and Mentoring : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Discipline Engineers, fostering their professional development and expertise.
- Design Standards Development : Leverage expertise to build, improve, and validate design standards for Newness levels 2-3, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and Valeos strategic objectives.
Efficiency
- Digitalization Roadmap Execution : Actively participate in the execution of the Disciplines Digitalization Roadmap, identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Continuous Improvement : Analyze problem-solving outcomes to identify systemic issues and propose improvements to existing processes and methodologies.
Innovation
- Innovative Solution Development : Propose and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to engineering challenges, leveraging existing technologies and methodologies.
- Intellectual Property Protection : Identify patentable inventions arising from innovative solutions and actively participate in the patent filing process (IP).
Collaboration and Influence
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with engineers and stakeholders from other Disciplines to ensure seamless project execution and integrated solutions.
