Exploring the role RateGain is looking for a Sr. Director of Product Management to own the end-to-end product strategy for our Business Intelligence portfolio for Hotels. This is a team-leadership role for a builder and strategist — someone who can define where the portfolio goes next, translate that vision into roadmaps that ship, and coach a small team of PMs to execute with rigor. You'll be at the intersection of hospitality data, marketing technology, and the emerging world of Agentic AI — identifying where intelligent, autonomous product experiences can create real differentiation for hotels navigating an increasingly complex ecosystem across multiple domains – revenue, distribution and demand. This role requires someone who takes full ownership of outcomes — someone who sees market shifts early, builds the winning plan, and executes it without excuses.
Job responsibility: Strategy & Vision
- Define and communicate the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for the BI portfolio, tightly aligned with overall business goals.
- Stay ahead of market trends and the evolving AI landscape to determine the right product at the right time — and take full ownership for devising and executing the winning plan.
- Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to drive product differentiation.
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to sharpen positioning and identify white space.
AI & Innovation
- Bring a strong working understanding of the AI landscape — especially Agentic AI — to conceive and shape new products and features that leverage autonomous, intelligent capabilities.
- Partner with data science to translate emerging AI/ML capabilities into practical, monetizable product bets.
Product Lifecycle Ownership
- Own the entire product lifecycle across multiple product lines — from concept and business case through launch, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
- Create and continuously evolve product roadmaps that balance customer needs, competitive pressure, and business priorities.
- Identify opportunities to build analytics products from the data already at hand, working closely with stakeholders, customers, and the data science team.
Cross-Functional Execution
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, and Sales to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions.
- Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to gather feedback, deeply understand their needs, and consistently exceed product expectations.
- Implement strategies that improve customer engagement and satisfaction through seamless technology integrations.
Commercial Strategy & GTM Alignment
- Partner closely with Commercial and Sales leaders to pressure-test product concepts against what customers will actually buy, ensuring the roadmap is built around what will sell, not just what is technically interesting.
- Translate market pricing, packaging, and win/loss feedback from Commercial teams into clear product requirements and prioritization calls.
- Bring the voice of the field into product strategy — validating positioning and business cases with Commercial stakeholders before committing engineering investment.
- Support Commercial teams with product input on high-value deals, RFPs, and customer negotiations, and feed that insight back into the roadmap.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Leverage data analytics and market research to inform product decisions, validate hypotheses, and prioritize feature investment.
- Define and monitor KPIs and performance metrics across the portfolio to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
Education & Work Experience:
- 10+ years of product management experience, including experience leading and mentoring a team of PMs.
- Proven experience owning product strategy and roadmaps for B2B SaaS products, ideally in hospitality, travel tech, or marketing technology.
- Track record of taking products from concept through launch and scaling them post-launch.
- Experience partnering with Commercial and Sales leadership to shape product-market fit, pricing, and packaging decisions.
Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of the hospitality, travel technology, and digital marketing ecosystem, including hotel distribution, demand generation, and revenue management.
- Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence, analytics platforms, data warehousing concepts, and data-driven product development methodologies.
- Solid understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and emerging Agentic AI technologies and their practical applications in SaaS products.
- Knowledge of product management frameworks, including product discovery, roadmap prioritization, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies for B2B SaaS products.
- Familiarity with customer acquisition, conversion optimization, marketing analytics, and key performance metrics such as traffic growth, CAC, and ROAS.
Skills:
- Strong point of view on AI and Agentic AI, with the ability to translate emerging technology into product opportunity.
- Strong analytical mindset — comfortable working with data, defining KPIs, and using research/analytics to make decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working across Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, and Sales.
- Commercial acumen — able to translate input from Sales and Commercial leaders into product decisions that will sell in market.
- Sharp competitive and market instincts — able to spot opportunities early and act on them decisively.
- Exceptional communication skills — able to articulate a compelling vision to executives, customers, and cross-functional teams alike.
- A high sense of ownership and accountability; comfortable being the person who makes the call and owns the outcome.
