About this role
We are looking for aSenior DevOps Engineer with 35 years of experience to design, automate, andscale our cloud infrastructure. You will own CI/CD pipelines, drive reliabilityand observability practices, and work closely with engineering teams to ship fastwithout compromising stability.
KeyResponsibilities
Design, build, andmaintain scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure(AWS/GCP/Azure) using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, orPulumi).
Own and continuouslyimprove CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) to enable fast,reliable, and safe deployments.
Manage and optimizecontainerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, including clusterupgrades, autoscaling, and resource optimization.
Set up and maintainmonitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)to ensure high system observability.
Define and trackSLIs/SLOs; lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and postmortems forproduction issues.
Automate repetitive operationaltasks (deployments, scaling, backups, rollbacks) to reduce manual toil acrossteams.
Collaborate withengineering and product teams to embed DevOps/SRE best practices into thedevelopment lifecycle.
Implement and enforcesecurity best practices across infrastructure, pipelines, and access management(DevSecOps).
Manage cloud costoptimization and capacity planning to balance performance with budget.
Mentor junior engineersand contribute to building a strong reliability and automation-first culture.
Key Skills
35 years of hands-onexperience in DevOps/SRE roles, with strong exposure to at least one majorcloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Proficiency inInfrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Strong experience withcontainerization and orchestration Docker and Kubernetes.
Hands-on experiencebuilding and managing CI/CD pipelines end-to-end.
Solidscripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, or Go for automation.
Working knowledge ofmonitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, orsimilar).
Good understanding ofnetworking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, VPCs, firewalls) and Linux systemadministration.
Experience with incidentmanagement, on-call rotations, and writing postmortems.
Strong problem-solvingskills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Good to Have
Experience with GitOpstools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
Exposure to service meshtechnologies (Istio, Linkerd).
Relevant certifications AWS/GCP/Azure Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect.
Familiarity withconfiguration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
Experience working in ahigh-growth product or startup environment with rapid scaling needs.
Understanding ofcompliance/security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001) as applied to infrastructure.
Contributions toopen-source DevOps/SRE tooling.
