DevOps Support Engineer role in the DevOps / Platform Engineering / Engineering Infrastructure tower. This person supports developers when they face issues with tools like GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, Git, JFrog Artifactory, Docker, Okta, LDAP, ServiceNow, Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, and VS Code.

Must understand developer tools: GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Docker.
Must handle access and identity issues: Okta, LDAP, SSO, repo permissions, account unlocks.
Must be strong in support operations: ServiceNow tickets, SLA, documentation, communication, escalation.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Support Engineer. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for resolving developer facing tooling issues across our CI/CD, version control, AI coding tools, and artifact management platforms. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless access to critical development infrastructure and drive fast, high quality resolutions.

Key Responsibilities
GitHub Enterprise Administration: Manage user onboarding, organization access, PAT SSO configuration, repository permissions, Copilot license provisioning, and account migrations.
Jenkins CI/CD Support: Create and configure Jenkins jobs, troubleshoot agent failures, manage Jenkins Service Accounts JSA, configure Job Mappings JJM, and resolve regression pipeline issues.
Git and Version Control Troubleshooting: Assist developers with Git credential setup, cloning errors, SSH key issues, identity misconfigurations, and Gerrit to GitHub migration support.
JFrog Artifactory Support: Handle login issues, Docker image pull failures, repository permission management, and proxy remote repository configuration.
AI Developer Tools Support: Manage access and troubleshoot issues for Cursor IDE, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and VS Code extensions in both Windows and Linux ELD environments.
Linux Unix Systems Support: Diagnose and resolve systemd service failures, NFS mount issues, Unix group project account access, and shell environment problems.
Identity and Access Management: Handle Okta SSO sync issues, LDAP group management, MEP access workflows, and cross system account unlock procedures.
Docker and Container Support: Troubleshoot Docker image pulls from internal Artifactory registries and assist with firewall network policy exceptions.
Ticket Management: Triage, prioritize, and resolve ServiceNow incidents within SLA, maintain knowledge base articles and resolution documentation.
Stakeholder Communication: Proactively communicate with requesters, provide clear resolution notes, and escalate critical issues appropriately.

Jenkins: Job creation, agent management, systemd services, JJM, JSA, webhook integration, email notifications
Git: Credential management, SSH keys, gitconfig, cloning checkout troubleshooting, Gerrit
JFrog Artifactory: User management, Docker registry, repository permissions
Linux Unix: systemd, NFS, shell scripting, user group management, LSF basics
Docker: Image pull, registry configuration, Artifactory proxy repos
IAM Tools: Okta, LDAP, SSO
AI Dev Tools: Cursor IDE, GitHub Copilot, VS Code, Claude Code familiarity preferred
ITSM: ServiceNow ticket management, knowledge base authoring

Preferred Qualifications
7 years of experience in a DevOps support, platform engineering, or IT engineering applications role.
Experience supporting large scale GitHub Enterprise environments, 1000 plus users.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Scripting skills in Bash or Python for automation of repetitive support tasks.
