Senior DevOps Engineer (Platform Reliability)

You'll be the sole owner of how the software gets tested, released, and kept running across both the new agentic products and the existing suite as it's rebuilt into a multi-tenant SaaS platform. This is a build-the-practice role, not an inherit-a-team role: pipelines, staging/test environments, monitoring, recovery drills, and documentation are all yours to establish.

Responsibilities:

• Own commit-to-production pipeline (build, test, validation, deploy, rollback) in Jenkins/GitHub Actions or equivalent.
• Build and run test/staging environments with realistic data and model behavior.
• Operate Linux/AWS application environments end-to-end for DNS, reverse proxy, NodeJS, containers, databases, and networking.
• Containerize and operate apps via Docker/ECS; build multi-tenant SaaS operations (provisioning, isolation, metering, uptime).
• Deploy/version models, prompts, and agent configs with release discipline; run evaluation as part of the release path.
• Operate retrieval infra (vector stores, embeddings, pgvector) and manage third-party LLM API usage/cost.
• Own backups, monitoring/alerting, security posture (SOC 2 readiness), and cost visibility.
• Participate in on-call and incident response.

Requirements:

• 5-12 years in DevOps / SRE / Cloud Engineering / Production Infrastructure, with experience owning an environment end-to-end.
• Strong Linux fundamentals (processes, permissions, logs, filesystems, shell scripting).
• Hands-on CI/CD pipeline design (built pipelines from scratch), including rollback/failure diagnosis.
• Docker (images, containers, networking, storage, troubleshooting).
• AWS fundamentals: compute, storage, databases, networking, IAM, DNS, load balancing, and cost hygiene.
• Experience running a production SaaS product with real customers and uptime obligations.
• Reverse proxy/web layer experience (Apache or similar) and NodeJS application support.
• MySQL or PostgreSQL operational experience (backups, permissions, performance, safe change handling).
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or equivalent.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with AI/ML infra model serving, GPU/inference workloads, and third-party LLM APIs in production.
• Vector databases / PostgreSQL vector extensions (e. g., pgvector).
• Kubernetes (in addition to ECS).
• Cloudflare, DNS, and TLS/certificate management.
• Apache mod_proxy / mod_rewrite.
• Ansible, Docker Hub, or similar.
• SOC 2 / ISO 27001 audit and compliance exposure.
• Mixed cloud and on-prem environment experience.
• Ideal Profile: Startup-minded operator, someone who's owned infrastructure rather than worked on tickets inside someone else's setup, comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration, and not looking for a big platform team to lean on.
