Senior DevOps Engineer (6+ Years Experience Required)

MUST HAVE:

• Minimum 6 years of full-time professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a closely related role.
• Strong hands-on experience administering

production Kubernetes environments , including both self-managed clusters and managed services such as EKS, GKE, or OKE.

• Proven experience creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting

Helm charts for production deployments.

• Strong Linux system administration skills, including service management, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and shell scripting.
• Solid experience with

Docker , including building, managing, and troubleshooting containerized applications.

• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing, SSL/TLS, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience writing and maintaining

Bash scripts to automate operational and deployment tasks.

• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining

CI/CD pipelines , preferably using Bitbucket Pipelines and self-hosted runners.

• Experience deploying and maintaining monitoring and observability solutions using

Prometheus ,

Grafana , and the

kube-prometheus-stack .

• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes, and application layers.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain deployment architecture, infrastructure requirements, and technical issues to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to independently own infrastructure projects, break down high-level requirements into implementation tasks, and mentor junior engineers.

PREFERRED:

• Experience reading and debugging Java or JavaScript applications to assist with deployment and production troubleshooting.
• Experience developing automation tools or infrastructure utilities using

Golang or

Python .

• Experience managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience working with enterprise or air-gapped deployments and customer-specific infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with security best practices for Kubernetes, Linux, and containerized applications.
• Experience implementing high-availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies for production infrastructure.
• Experience with GitOps workflows and deployment tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
• Knowledge of log aggregation and observability platforms such as Loki, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers to plan deployments, perform infrastructure sizing, and resolve production issues.
• Previous experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, or acting as the technical owner for platform and infrastructure projects.
