Role overview We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Java Developer with strong experience in designing, developing and maintaining enterprise-grade applications using Java and Microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Kubernetes deployments, REST APIs, Spring Boot and Microsoft SQL Server with extensive experience in writing and optimizing stored procedures.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs following Microservices architecture principles.
• Design loosely coupled, resilient and highly available microservices.
• Deploy, manage and troubleshoot applications on Kubernetes clusters.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.
• Develop and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, including complex Stored Procedures, Functions, Views and Triggers.
• Analyze and improve SQL query performance and database indexing strategies.
• Integrate applications with third-party systems and internal enterprise services.
• Write clean, maintainable and testable code following coding standards and best practices.
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Participate in architecture discussions, sprint planning and production support activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

• Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to have skills:

• Event-driven architecture.
• Distributed caching (Redis).
• ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• OAuth2, JWT and API security.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Event Sourcing is an added advantage.
