Senior Designer

The Senior Designer will be responsible for creating and developing commercially relevant, trend-focused collections for Men’s Wear, with a primary focus on Casual Shirts and Bottom Wear. The role involves trend research, concept development, product design, fabric and color selection, and end-to-end coordination of product development.

1. Men’s Wear Designing
   • Develop innovative and commercially viable designs for men’s apparel.
   • Create seasonal collections based on fashion trends, customer preferences, and brand identity.
   • Develop new silhouettes, styles, color palettes, prints, patterns, and design details.
   • Ensure collections are contemporary, market-relevant, and commercially successful.
2. Casual Shirts Designing
   • Design and develop a wide range of men’s casual shirts.
   • Develop concepts for checks, stripes, prints, solids, textures, embroideries, and other surface details.
   • Work on collars, cuffs, pockets, plackets, fits, washes, and other garment details.
   • Develop styles suitable for different customer segments and price points.
3. Bottom Wear Designing
   • Design and develop men’s bottom wear including trousers, chinos, cargo pants, joggers, shorts, and other relevant categories.
   • Develop new fits, silhouettes, washes, finishes, pockets, trims, and detailing.
   • Ensure designs provide the right balance of fashion, comfort, functionality, and commercial appeal.
4. Fashion & Trend Research
   • Conduct regular research on international and domestic fashion trends.
   • Analyze trends in silhouettes, colors, fabrics, prints, washes, and styling.
   • Study competitor collections, market developments, and consumer preferences.
   • Translate relevant trends into commercially viable product designs.
5. Collection & Product Development
   • Create mood boards, design concepts, color stories, and range plans.
   • Prepare sketches, artworks, and detailed design specifications.
   • Coordinate with merchandising, sourcing, technical, production, and vendor teams during product development.
   • Review samples and provide design inputs to achieve the desired final product.
6. Fabric, Trim & Surface Development
   • Identify and develop suitable fabrics, trims, buttons, labels, prints, embroideries, washes, and finishes.
   • Work closely with vendors and sourcing teams to develop new materials and design techniques.
   • Ensure all design elements meet quality, aesthetic, and commercial requirements.
7. Commercial Awareness
   • Develop designs keeping target customer, price points, costing, and production feasibility in mind.
   • Balance creativity with commercial requirements and manufacturing constraints.
   • Identify opportunities for design innovation and product differentiation.

• Strong expertise in Men’s Wear Fashion Designing
• Strong knowledge of Casual Shirts and Men’s Bottom Wear
• Excellent understanding of fashion trends, fabrics, colors, prints, and garment construction
• Strong creative and conceptual thinking
• Good knowledge of design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong understanding of fit, silhouettes, washes, and garment detailing
• Commercial understanding of the apparel market
• Strong communication, presentation, and coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple designs and collections within deadlines
