Job description: Piping Design Engineer

• Prepare and Develops 2D and 3D Designs.
• Prepare of Piping GA, Equipment GA Structural GA & Plot Plan.
• Development & Review of Isometrics as per GA and P&ID.
• Prepare 3D Modelling like Equipment Modelling, Piping Modelling, Structures Modelling, Pipe Supports & Instruments.
• Develop 3D skid models based on basic engineering documents using SolidWorks, Plant 3D.
• Perform peer reviews and ensure compliance with quality procedures, processes, and standards for skid deliverables.
• Review PFDs/P&IDs and develop equipment layouts and skid piping routing designs.
• Extract and annotate 2D drawings, including GADs, plumb drawings, and spool drawings, based on project and client requirements.
• Prepare accurate Bills of Quantity (BOQ) and determine support spacing for metallic and non-metallic piping systems.
• Prepare clash reports, resolve identified clashes prior to model reviews, and generate compliance reports.
• Participate in 3D model reviews from concept through completion to ensure adequate flexibility and constructability in pipe routing.
• Review isometrics, 3D models, spool drawings, and weldment drawings to select appropriate pipe support types in alignment with piping analysis requirements.
• Develop standard P&ID templates, including legends, blocks, attributes, spreadsheet linking, and AutoCAD attribute extraction.
• Ensure piping and skid designs comply with applicable project specifications, internal standards, client requirements, and engineering codes.
• Participate in on-site meetings as an engineering/analysis team representative and handle customer-facing technical discussions when required.
• Prepare equipment and foundation layouts using AutoCAD.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Maximum 4+ years Experience of mechanical design in Water, Power, O&G or related Industry.
• Software knowledge - AutoCAD, SolidWorks or AutoCAD Plant 3D or Revit or Autodesk Inventor.
• Knowledge on ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code / B 31.1 Power Piping Code
