About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Facade Design Team Leader with 10+ years of relevant experience in façade design and engineering, along with proven experience in leading and managing a team of façade designers/engineers.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of façade systems, hands-on design experience, excellent drawing review capabilities and the ability to effectively coordinate with clients and multiple internal teams.

This is a key technical leadership position for a professional who can take ownership of façade design activities while guiding and developing the design team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of façade designers and engineers.
• Plan, allocate and monitor design projects and tasks within the team.
• Review, check and approve façade design drawings and technical deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Ensure design quality, accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate directly with international clients and respond to technical requirements and queries.
• Coordinate with Structural, BIM, 3D and other internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level façade engineers/designers.
• Identify design issues and provide practical and technically sound solutions.
• Support project teams in meeting agreed timelines and deliverables.
• Participate in design discussions, technical reviews and project coordination meetings.
• Maintain a high standard of technical documentation and design quality.

Required Technical Experience

Candidates should have strong practical experience in:

• Façade design and engineering
• Curtain wall systems
• Unitised and stick systems
• Cladding systems
• Windows and doors
• Façade-related structural calculations
• Shop drawings and fabrication drawings
• AutoCAD

Knowledge of the following will be an added advantage:

• Revit
• Rhino / Grasshopper
• Tekla
• BIM-based façade design and coordination

Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of relevant experience in façade design and engineering.
• Proven experience in handling and leading a team of façade designers/engineers.
• Strong understanding of façade systems, design principles and technical detailing.
• Hands-on experience in reviewing and approving technical drawings.
• Experience in international projects, preferably GCC / Middle East projects.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate directly and effectively with international clients.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently while taking ownership of team deliverables.
