Senior Design Engineer - New Product Development (NPD)

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize new product components and assemblies using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other CAD/CAE tools.
• Generate 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation in accordance with company and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are aligned with performance, safety, manufacturability, cost, and quality requirements.
• Conduct engineering analysis, tolerance stack-ups, and GD&T application to validate design feasibility.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation, incorporating test feedback into design improvements.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, technical specifications, and engineering reports throughout the NPD process.
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for DFM and DFA.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design practices, tools, and methodologies within the engineering team.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5-8 years of experience in product design and development, preferably in new product development (NPD).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and simulation tools (FEA/CFD knowledge preferred).
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM, and DFA principles.
• Familiarity with international standards, certifications, compliance requirements.
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and validation processes.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
