Senior Data Engineer

Role Summary As a Senior Data Engineer at McAfee, you will help implement analytics, reporting, and data driven decision making solutions for critical business metrics. This is a hands on role focused on developing high quality data solutions in close collaboration with analytics, data science, and product teams. This is a Hybrid position located at our Bangalore, India development center. You will be required to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to our Bangalore office and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About The Role About the Role:

• You will work closely with stakeholders to translate data requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions.
• You will develop, maintain, and optimize data models, queries, and reporting frameworks.
• You will support both batch and near real-time data processing use cases to ensure timely data availability.
• You will implement robust data quality checks, monitoring systems, and documentation to maintain reliable datasets.
• You will create insightful reports connecting product and bookings data while recommending strategic initiatives.
• You will collaborate with data scientists to enable advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities.
• You will ensure secure data handling, follow SDLC best practices, and continuously adopt new tools and techniques in data engineering. About You:
• You should have 10–15 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• You should have strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or Scala/Java.
• You should have hands-on experience with modern data tools such as Databricks, Spark, or similar technologies.
• You should have experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP data services.
• You should have solid SQL expertise along with a strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• You should have familiarity with data quality, monitoring, reliability practices, and experience collaborating with analysts, data scientists, or product teams.
• You should have strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and ideally exposure to Docker, streaming data, ML pipelines, GenAI/LLM, and DataOps practices.
