Position Summary

• Role: Senior Data Consultant Supply Chain (BA + DA)
• Function: Business Analysis, Data Analytics & Power BI Engineering
• Location: Bangalore (Whitefield) Mandatory 4 days Work From Office (WFO) at Client ODC

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Consultant (BA + DA) with strong techno-functional expertise in Supply Chain / Manufacturing Analytics, Python, SQL, and Advanced Power BI Development.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and advanced analytical solutions. You will be responsible for extracting and modeling supply chain data, building scalable data pipelines, developing enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards with advanced DAX and semantic modeling, and uncovering actionable insights to optimize inventory, manufacturing, and operational workflows. Exposure to Business Analysis (BRD/FRD authoring) and modern AI/Gen AI tools is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Power BI Architecture & Dashboard Development

• Design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade, interactive Power BI dashboards and KPI reports supporting executive and operational decision-making.
• Develop complex DAX measures, calculated tables/columns, time-intelligence calculations, and optimized Power Query (M) data transformations.
• Architect robust semantic data models (star/snowflake schemas), establish table relationships, implement Row-Level Security (RLS), and configure scheduled refreshes via On-Premises Data Gateways.
• Perform performance tuning on slow-running reports using Performance Analyzer, DAX Studio, or query optimization techniques.

2. Data Engineering & Analytics (Python & SQL)

• Develop and maintain production-grade Python scripts and SQL queries for data extraction, wrangling, transformation, and statistical analysis across multi-source supply chain datasets.
• Build and optimize data pipelines integrating disparate systems such as enterprise ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365), WMS/TMS, logistics platforms, and manufacturing databases.
• Apply statistical modeling and predictive analytics (time-series, regression) to improve demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and production scheduling.

3. Supply Chain Domain & Root Cause Analysis

• Perform rigorous root cause analysis (RCA) on operational inefficiencies, supplier performance, stockouts, lead-time variances, and inventory discrepancies.
• Monitor, track, and standardize critical domain KPIs including Work-in-Progress (WIP), Bill of Materials (BOM), On-Time Delivery (OTD), Lead Times, Stockout Rates, and Fill Rates (GIFOT).

4. Business Analysis & Stakeholder Management

• Lead requirement discovery sessions with cross-functional business stakeholders (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, and IT).
• Author formal business analysis artifacts including BRDs, FRDs, process flowcharts (As-Is / To-Be), and user acceptance testing (UAT) test cases.
• Translate ambiguous business challenges into structured technical backlogs, metrics, and actionable analytics roadmaps within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.

5. Emerging Technologies & GenAI (Preferred)

• Explore and integrate Generative AI / LLM workflows (e.g., prompt engineering, RAG, AI-assisted reporting) to automate recurring narratives, enhance KPI summaries, and optimize analyst productivity.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory Requirements:

• Power BI Development: Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI Desktop & Service, complex DAX, Power Query (M), star-schema data modeling, RLS, and dashboard performance optimization.
• Python: Proficiency in data wrangling, data manipulation, and statistical analysis using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
• SQL: Advanced query writing (complex joins, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures, indexing, and query performance tuning).
• Domain Expertise: Proven experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, or Retail Operations (inventory management, procurement, fulfillment, or demand planning).
• Education & Location: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300), Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600), or Supply Chain Analytics certifications.
• ERP Experience: Direct exposure to querying or integrating data from enterprise systems such as SAP (S/4HANA, ECC, MM/PP), Oracle SCM/ERP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Business Analysis: Hands-on experience writing formal BRDs/FRDs and managing sprint backlogs in Jira.
• GenAI / AI: Practical exposure to LLMs, ChatGPT/Copilot enterprise workflows, or RAG frameworks for analytics.
• Advanced Degree: Master’s degree / MBA in Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Data Science.
