Senior Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and business-oriented Senior Data Analyst with 7-10 years of experience in Business Analysis, SQL, Power BI, Data Modeling, and Analytics. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and data teams, demonstrating strong expertise in gathering business requirements, translating them into analytical solutions, and delivering actionable insights through robust data models and dashboards.

The candidate should possess hands-on experience across the entire analytics lifecycle, from requirement gathering and data analysis to data modeling, Power BI development, validation, and stakeholder sign-off. Experience with modern data platforms and Medallion architecture concepts will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into analytical use cases, KPIs, metrics, and reporting solutions.
• Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, patterns, and business opportunities.
• Conduct root cause analysis and support business decision-making with actionable insights.
• Define business logic, calculations, data transformations, and KPI definitions.
• Develop complex SQL queries, views, and analytical datasets.
• Optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Support data reconciliation and troubleshooting activities across multiple systems.
• Design and develop scalable analytical data models.
• Design Silver and Gold layer datasets aligned with business reporting requirements.
• Define data relationships, business rules, transformations, and analytical structures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to establish governed and reusable datasets.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Implement data security, row-level security (RLS), and dashboard optimization techniques.
• Collaborate with business users, architects, data engineers, and leadership teams.

Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in SQL with hands-on experience in writing complex queries and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts.
• Advanced experience in Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, and DAX.
• Experience designing Fact and Dimension tables.
• Hands-on experience with Silver and Gold layer data modeling and transformation logic.
• Strong knowledge of business metrics, KPI design, and reporting frameworks.
