    Job Summary

Staples is seeking an Analytics Engineer to support the Asset Protection, Inventory Control Claims teams through the development and maintenance of business intelligence, reporting, and data solutions. By leveraging Snowflake, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, and Python, this individual will develop dashboards, automate data processes, and create analytical solutions that help identify trends, uncover root causes of losses, measure operational performance, and support the claims recovery process.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to work across large and complex datasets. While the role will primarily support Asset Protection Inventory Control initiatives, it also provides an opportunity to gain exposure to broader cybersecurity, risk, fraud, and asset protection analytics functions as the organization continues to expand its analytics capabilities.

    • Assist in testing and validating new analytics solutions before deployment.
    • Document business logic, data sources, workflow designs, and reporting processes.
    • Recommend opportunities for process automation and reporting improvements.
    • Work closely with senior analytics and engineering resources to deliver scalable and maintainable analytics solutions.
    • Participate in project planning, requirements reviews, and solution design discussions.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across reporting and analytics platforms.
