Senior Cost Estimation Engineer

Job Accountabilities:

The role holder will be responsible for providing inputs for project cost estimates and maintaining the in-house cost database. The role will also support the preparation of the Project Work Breakdown Structure, Budget, and Purchase Requisitions.

• Maintain an updated cost database, including activity durations.
• Draft the basis and assumptions for cost estimates.
• Provide inputs for project cost estimates and project budgets.
• Provide inputs for the preparation of the Project Work Breakdown Structure.
• Provide technical inputs to the SAP team for the preparation of Purchase Requisitions and creation of service entries.
• Review cost estimates prepared by external agencies and provide feedback.
• Ensure systematic documentation of cost estimates. Skills & Competencies
• Knowledge of the typical project lifecycle, offshore (including subsea) and onshore production facilities, field development concepts, and Oil & Gas processing.
• Knowledge of cost estimation methods and the Cost Estimate Classification System.
• Understanding of offshore and onshore construction, installation, precommissioning, and commissioning methodologies.

Education Required

• B.E. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Work experience across engineering, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and/or decommissioning phases.
• Knowledge of industry-accepted cost estimation software tools.
