Role Overview

Oben Electric is looking for a seasoned Senior Corporate HR to partner with business leaders and drive strategic HR initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of HR experience, with a strong track record of managing large workforces of 1,500+ employees, driving organizational effectiveness, and aligning people strategies with business objectives.

The candidate should bring strong expertise in strategic business partnering, workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development, preferably within manufacturing, automotive, EV, or other large-scale, fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic HR Business Partnering

• Partner with senior leadership and business heads to understand business priorities and translate them into effective HR strategies.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on organizational design, workforce effectiveness, talent planning, and people-related decisions.
• Drive HR initiatives that support business growth, operational excellence, and organizational transformation.

2. Large Workforce Management

• Manage and provide HRBP support for a workforce of 1,500+ employees across multiple functions, locations, or operational units.
• Develop scalable HR processes and frameworks to support workforce expansion and operational requirements.
• Partner with functional and operational leaders to address workforce productivity, employee relations, and people challenges.

4. Performance & Talent Development

• Lead performance management, goal-setting, appraisal, and talent calibration processes.
• Identify capability gaps and partner with Learning & Development to drive relevant development interventions.
• Support leadership development, employee career progression, and succession pipelines.

5. Employee Engagement & Culture

• Drive employee engagement, culture-building, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
• Use employee feedback, engagement surveys, and HR analytics to identify improvement areas.
• Champion a high-performance, accountable, and inclusive work culture.

6. Employee Relations & HR Governance

• Oversee employee relations, grievance management, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure adherence to applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, HR policies, and organizational guidelines.
• Partner with relevant stakeholders to maintain a positive and compliant workplace environment.

7. HR Analytics & Business Insights

• Track and analyse HR metrics, including attrition, retention, manpower costs, productivity, absenteeism, and engagement.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership for effective people decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement in HR processes, systems, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with substantial experience in HR Business Partnering.
• MBA/PGDM in Human Resources from a premier management institute.
• Proven experience managing HRBP responsibilities for a workforce of at least 1,500 employees.
• Strong experience partnering with senior leadership and managing complex people-related business challenges.
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, electric vehicles, engineering, or large-scale operations will be preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in workforce planning, talent management, performance management, employee engagement, and employee relations.
• Strong understanding of labour laws, HR governance, and statutory compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
