Senior Copywriter

We're looking for a Copywriter who lives and breathes language not just English, but Tamil or Telugu too. Someone who understands that a bus journey from Chennai to Coimbatore means something different to a college student heading home for Pongal versus a salesperson on their seventh trip that month.

Youll write copy across platforms - from a social reel that engages audiences to a banner that converts, crafted with an understanding of the South India market & relevant culture. It's a creative role that happens to require multilingual fluency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceive and write original copy for social media reels, digital campaigns, video scripts, app notifications, emailers, and brand communications in English, Tamil, or Telugu.
• Stay plugged into the social content landscape know what's trending on Instagram Reels, what's blowing up on YouTube in regional markets, and what conversations are happening on social spaces before they peak.
• Own regional narratives — bring a culturally rooted point of view to campaigns targeting Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana markets.
• Collaborate with art directors and designers to develop integrated campaign ideas where the words and visuals are inseparable.
• Write for the platform, not just the brief — your LinkedIn copy won't sound like your Instagram caption, and your push notification won't read like a banner ad.
• Develop brand voice guidelines for regional languages and ensure consistency across all Tamil and Telugu touchpoints.
• Review and refine copy from external agencies and vendors for regional accuracy and tone.

Educational Qualification: Any Graduation – Full-time

Experience: 2–5 years of copywriting experience at an agency or in-house creative team.

Key skills required for the role:

• Native or near-native proficiency in Tamil or Telugu with English — you write in both scripts fluently, not phonetically.
• Strong English writing chops — your English copy is as tight and punchy as your regional work.
• A demonstrable understanding of India's digital content ecosystem — short-form video, reels, meme culture, influencer trends, regional OTT, and vernacular internet.
• A portfolio that shows range: social posts, campaign concepts, scripts, long-form — not just one format.
• Instinct for what resonates in South Indian markets specifically — the humour, the references, the sentiment.
