Senior Content Writer

Role & responsibilities: -

• Research, write, edit and proofread high-quality educational content
• Ensure all content follows SEO best practices and is optimised for search visibility
• Manage and guide a team of content writers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Develop content calendars and article ideas based on student interests and search trends
• Respond to student queries in the Q&A section by conducting the necessary research and providing accurate, relevant and timely answers
• Formulate and implement a cross-platform content strategy.
• Provide editorial, creative and technical support as required.
• Track web analytics to ascertain content performance and engagement, and take necessary steps to improve results.
• Co-ordinate with other teams on content across all platforms
• Engage with students and experts to gather insights, opinions and perspectives
• Ensure content is accurate, up to date, and published within deadlines

Preferred candidate profile: -

• Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English or a related field.
• 4-7 years of professional content writing experience, preferably in Edtech or education platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices
• Working knowledge of the formal and informal education sectors
• Ability to develop fresh, innovative, unique and engaging content that addresses student needs
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple assignments
• An open-minded approach to feedback and suggestions
• A team player who stays updated on education industry trends and relevant topics.
• Strong leadership and team management skills
