About this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the taxation team, ensuring timely and accurate filing of all statutory returns (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.).
- Oversee tax audits, assessments, and litigation matters, coordinating with external consultants and legal advisors.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position while ensuring full compliance.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact, and advise management accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Finance, Legal, HR) to ensure alignment on tax related matters.
- Review and approve tax reconciliations, provisions, and financial reporting disclosures.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of ownership, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification.
- 8 - 12 years of experience in taxation, with at least 3 years in a managerial or team lead role.
- Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws including Income Tax, GST, and TDS.
- Experience in handling tax audits, assessments, and litigation.
- Proficiency in tax compliance tools and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
